This is a great introduction class for those interested in making a food forest garden, an herbal or medicinal food farmacy, or even starting on their first backyard sustainable garden. It will have great information for everyone who wants to learn about soil health and how to get started with a small budget, challenging soil conditions or very little room!
Do you want a garden, but only have a balcony? Is your ‘yard’ an asphalt parking lot? Are you limited by a tight budget and can’t afford pricey fertilizers and plants? Want to learn how to grow your own food but tight on time?
This is the class for you. We’ll make it easy for you with fool-proof methods to get started growing your own food (or herbs) and take control of your food sources.
This is a 2-hour intensive course designed to give attendees a practical knowledge and decision-making base for creating affordable, low-maintenance, abundant gardens. The curriculum reaches out to absolute beginners as well as experienced gardeners who want to keep their gardens healthy with fewer inputs.
Come learn to garden anywhere
– even on a parking lot!- using natural methods based on a true understanding of soil life. We will discuss ways to adapt to limitations on space, budget, or time. Visual learners are in for a treat, as we will view soil critters under a microscope if there is time!
