Introduction to Herbal Medicine for Beginners 2026
This is a 6-week online course and does not require you to be present at our school campus. You can take this from anywhere! This course is offered twice a year as an interactive course, but you can also enroll at any time to take it as a self-paced course.
If you are interested in herbal medicine but aren’t sure where to begin, this course is for you. Introduction to Herbal Medicine for Beginners is a six-week, online learning experience designed to help you understand the most crucial and practical aspects of herbalism.
Over six weeks, follow Sam Coffman through video classes to jump start your knowledge in herbal medicine across the introductory topics of: Practical herbalism at home and in the clinic, Herbal first aid, Wildcrafting, Botany, Medicine making, Medicinal plant gardening, Materia Medica (25 herbs in detail) and understanding other related (but non-herbal) topics.
Though not required, this six week, online course is also wonderful way to prepare for our online “Introduction to Herbal Medicine for Professionals” course (formerly called the “Herbal Medic Basic”).
