This will be an interactive class for those who want to learn the basics of how to use herbs for children. We will cover basic safety of herbs for children, a minimum of 10 basic pediatric herbs, several formulas and the importance of self-sufficiency in health care with children.
More and more we are being asked to pump our children full of pharmaceuticals. The instructor for this class, Katia LeMone, a midwife and herbalist, has been working with mothers and children since 1990. She believes that conventional medicines are there for emergencies and for serious health concerns. This course has been designed as an introduction to the herbal pharmacopeia that is available for pediatric basic health concerns
Participants will learn how to:
-stop wondering and start incorporating herbal medicines in the care of your children
-get the medicine down in the right dosage for children
-10 basic children’s herbs and their uses
-start making individual formulas for their children that they actually like
-help kids get involved in their own care
This class includes handouts, the formula and a 1 oz Kid’s Kalm Elixer ($10 retail–suitable for irritating adults as well).
