This 3-week online course will help you refine and develop your formulating techniques for botanical medicine making. During this course, Sam Coffman will step through a history of formulation and arrive at his own pathophysiology-based formulation theory.
Some of the concepts taught in this course are:
– Base formulas and sub-functions
– Synergy pathways
– Overlapping herbal functions
– Dosing and formulating along toxicity spectra
– Herbal pairs and triplets
– Relating medicine making to dosage and protocols
– Several of Sam’s own protocols and formulas along with case studies
COURSE INFORMATION
Starting in 2019, this course will be required as part of the Clinical Botanical Medicine, Family Herbalist and Apothecarist botanical medicine making programs.
Pre-requisites: none, however we recommend completion of the Herbal Medicine for Professionals course or its equivalent from another school.
Class Credit Hours: 6
Dates: 6/3/19 – 6/24/19. Course materials will be released every Monday.
Registration will remain open until 6/16/19.
New online webinars, pdfs, documents and videos are uploaded each week. We will also have a live open session on June 10th for questions and review.
There is a 4-week grace period after the last class week, to allow ample time for downloading content and finishing the course test.
