Learn the ancient art of bow making with skilled bowyers in this not-to-be-missed camp that is all about archery. Each student will receive a “blank board” of red oak that they will craft into a functional work of art. We will cover all the basics of proper wood selection, design and efficiency, tillering, and making strings. If taken care of and used properly, a bow can last a lifetime.
Students will also learn all about the lost art of intuitive and instinctual archery that is slowly being rediscovered by traditional archers of today. This camp is a ton of fun for teens who love to shoot bows and arrows and a great way to meet new archery enthusiasts.
