“Hi Sam, Hi Guys, I just started the Online First aid kit course as suggested by Sam, I finished the first section on containers and here is something Id like to share as an idea I use. It is a Fishing Tackle Box, which is the same size as an EMT bag but a lot cheaper. It has handles and a shoulder strap, outside pockets on side & Top, and mesh sides too. It has loops on top and elastic loops too. If you open it up plenty of room and a large place in the main compartment with boxes which were with the bag and dividers you can remove. I used a Dymo and labeled the boxes. What do you think?”

Yep @thehumanpath 🖤 It's been a challenging year and while we have had to temporarily pause our onsite classes due to Covid-19, we have been working hard to translate many classes to an online format so that students can continue their studies. Not all classes (wilderness survival, off grid engineering, scout, foraging) lend well to an online format BUT we are doing our best as we are actually experiencing an increase in enrollments from people who are seeing the importance, now more than ever, of learning how to be more self-sufficient and prepared. “Y’all, I am S.H.O.O.K. As some of you know, I am studying herbalism with @thehumanpath, who are some of the most amazing people that are constantly giving back to the community. We work a lot with Navajo Nation, typically doing a trip out there once a year to hold a week of free herbal clinics, because they are a very underserved community (which is coming more to light because of covid). Obviously we won’t be going this year for safety reasons, but the 2 amazing people at the helm of THP, @suchilthehermist and @herbalmedicsam, have already gone out to drop loads of covid formulas since they have been hit so hard.

They’re making a return trip soon, and our local Herbal Medics chapter (students from the school can start their own chapters to do clinics and community work) volunteered to make some kits with herbal medicine and masks.

With the year being shot on having some fundraising/tabling plans we had, I reached out to Mason (@herbrally) who works for the great company @mountainroseherbs to see if they had anything they could offer, because they are always so great about supporting our efforts. He immediately said he would send us herbs and also gave us a $250 credit to order anything from their site, and told me to brace myself when the herbs hit my porch.

I don’t think anything could have prepared me for the generous amount that was just donated to our apothecary. My mind is blown and my heart is full, and this is why MRH is the only place I shop for herbs. I can never speak enough thank you’s to Mason and Mountain Rose Herbs. We will be able to make so many great things with this to send out to Navajo Nation.
