STUDENT PREPARATION TEAMS

We will use this page to post the advance party student team assignments for the clinical week.  Email addresses will be sent out offline so that all team members can contact one another to organize details.  Remember that this is for advance preparations only. Once you are at the clinical week, everyone will work on multiple teams of your interests.

TEXAS TEAM — MEDICINE MAKING

This group of students within the San Antonio and surrounding area will work in advance to prep herbal materials for the clinic. Students will receive guidance from our Herbal Apprentices Cindy and Cristina.  We will provide contact information once students have been assigned.

PROVIDER TEAM

This team will collect all food and medication allergies, along with any health concerns prior to the trip, put together a team provisions shopping list and menu planning sheet.  It will include any cooking equipment needed along with food supplies.

TRANSPORT TEAM

This team will help organize all incoming travel of team members, assist if needed in coordinating ride-shares and communicate directly with team members on the initial briefing location, time, etc.

MEDIC TEAM

The medic team will compile a list of herbs, first aid gear and all materials that will be needed for both a team medic emergency kit as well as a mobile clinic. This team will work collaboratively with Sam and the apothecary team to assemble and source materials.

The gear team will work with Sam and Gordon to assemble a comprehensive gear list needed for rainwater catchment, gardening project and clinical set ups.

PERMACULTURE/SUSTAINABLE GARDEN TEAM

Some advance preparations must be done prior to the trip and these team members may depart for the Navajo Nation early to set up team water and sanitation provisions for the team.
