May 9 - 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM| $40
As part of our ongoing apothecarist makers’ series, we’ll be covering herbal formulas that will come in handy in every parent and caregiver’s medicine cabinet! With summer just a couple of months away, stock up your herbal wares with a child-friendly formulations that you’ll make with guidance in this 2-hour interactive workshop!
Modern life can leave kids feeling like they are in a tornado of stress, between social expectations, and the weight of school, family dynamics and schedules packed with after-school activities. Many kids can feel overwhelmed by the changing world, exhausted emotionally and may have a difficult time coming down from it.
Children can often feel social pressures more than adults, but may lack the skill set to decipher it yet, or to cope. In this class, we will explore a formulation that will offer a helping hand to ground and anchor them. Having herbal tools are helpful for children who may be transitioning to a new stressful summer camp or daycare situation while school is out for the summer.
This 2-hour workshop will also cover how to make a great summer bug-balm that your kids will love, won’t have any harmful ingredients in it, and will be your new go-to for the whole family as you step back into the outdoors!
Students will learn:
- Correct child dosages
