The Emergency Clinic is a 12-week online course. Registration for the course will remain open until June 5th, 2017.

As part of the Emergent Responder program at Herbal Medics Academy, there are (3) 12-week long online courses that cover critical information that will help an herbal medic or other health care personnel to set up and efficiently run an emergency or health clinic in less-than-ideal situations.
SECTION 1: THE EMERGENCY CLINIC ORGANIZATION & MANAGEMENT.
Pre-requisites: This 12- week program is available a la carte or a part of the complete Emergent Responder program. The Emergent Responder program does have co-requisites for completion and certification listed on our website here.
Tuition: Each section is $310.
Early Bird Special is $275 until May 1st for The Emergency Clinic.

What is in this 12-week course? THE EMERGENCY CLINIC: ORGANIZATION & MANAGEMENT.
Taught by herbal medicine instructors, street medic and practicing clinical herbalists Katja Swift, Ryn Midura, Sam Coffman and radio/communications facilitator Thomas Bryant; the Emergent Responder is a pioneer program to bring herbal medicine where it is needed most in areas of great need and instability.

Week 1: Clinic setup and management introduction
Week 2: Dealing with the public, diffusing high stress situations & how to work with other relief organizations efficiently.
Week 3: Building a community information hub center, lost person reports
Week 4: Resource management, how to get what you need & make the most of what you have.
Week 5: Canvassing, Mobile Teams and Dispatch
Week 6: Radio and Communications – using both readily available and off-grid communication options in emergencies
Week 7: Clinic security — protecting the clients, resources and staff during situations of unrest and instability
Week 8: Clinic engineering — essential services to include water purification, emergency shelter setup, food safety and sanitation.
Week 9: Triage care
Week 10: Prepping for transport
Week 11: Death support
Week 12: Post disaster Epidemiology
