As many people merge families together to care for elderly parents, special needs children and those recovering from serious illness, countless people find themselves unexpectedly in the role of the caregiver.
This two-hour makers workshop will cover ways to address feelings of grief, being overwhelmed, stress, poor sleep patterns and fatigue. It will include physical self-care tips, exercises, herbal recipes, resources as well as several herbal formulas that will be made in the class.
Take a break and focus on your own self-care for the night. Taught by Suchil Coffman-Guerra, we will talk about sleep and fatigue, supportive foods and teas to help with restore balance, self massage and centering breathing techniques and more. We will focus on those who caregive for the elderly, for special needs children and for illness.
Students will make a honey elixir, steam inhalation and medicinal herbal tea blend with materials we send out.
